Tasks

Tasks let your team track follow-ups, to-dos, and action items across any record in graph8. Create tasks from contacts, companies, or deals, assign them to team members, and track completion.

Viewing Tasks

Global Task View

Go to Data → Tasks to see all tasks across your organization:

  • Filter by assignee, due date, priority, or status
  • Sort by due date to see what’s most urgent
  • Click any task to jump to the related record

Personal Task Queue

Click the task icon in the top navigation bar for quick access to your personal queue - tasks assigned to you, sorted by due date.

Creating Tasks

From a Record

  1. Open any contact, company, or deal
  2. Click Add Task (or use the task icon)
  3. Fill in task details:
    • Title - what needs to be done
    • Assignee - team member responsible
    • Due date - when it’s due
    • Priority - low, medium, high, or urgent
    • Description - additional context or instructions
  4. Click Save

The task links to the record it was created from, giving you full context when working through your queue.

From the AE Cockpit

The AE Cockpit surfaces tasks automatically as decision cards. When you approve an overdue task decision, it creates or highlights the relevant task. See AE Cockpit → for details.

Managing Tasks

  • Complete - click the checkbox to mark a task done
  • Reassign - change the assignee if someone else should handle it
  • Reschedule - update the due date to push it forward
  • Delete - remove tasks that are no longer relevant

Overdue Tasks

Tasks past their due date appear highlighted in your queue. The AE Cockpit also surfaces overdue tasks as decision cards, so at-risk follow-ups don’t fall through the cracks.
