Deal Contacts & Notes
Deal Contacts let you map the buying committee on each deal - assign roles to contacts so your team knows who the champion is, who makes the final decision, and who might block the deal.
Adding Contacts to a Deal
- Open a deal from the Deals board or list view
- Click the Contacts tab
- Click Add Contact
- Search for an existing contact or create a new one
- Assign a buying role (see below)
- Click Save
Buying Roles
Each contact on a deal can be assigned one role:
| Role | Description | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Champion | Internal advocate pushing for your solution | Your primary ally - keep them armed with ammunition |
| Decision Maker | Has final budget and sign-off authority | Must be engaged before proposal stage |
| Influencer | Shapes the decision without final authority | Can accelerate or slow the process |
| Blocker | Actively resists or creates obstacles | Identify early and build a strategy to address concerns |
| Coach | Provides insider information and guidance | Valuable source of intel on the buying process |
| End User | Will use the product day-to-day | Their input drives adoption and renewal |
